Goals

RFS Pharma will utilize its strong scientific talent and know-how
to develop promising drugs for the treatment of life-threatening illnesses
where there is substantial and growing unmet medical need.

Background

RFS Pharma, LLC is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical companyRFSP Facility
founded by Dr. Raymond F. Schinazi to develop new drugs for the
treatment of HIV-1 and hepatitis infections as well as emerging
viruses. Located in a laboratory facility in suburban Atlanta, RFS
Pharma will continue to provide growth to the pharmaceutical
industry in Georgia.

Incorporated in 2004, RFS Pharma in-licensed a series of anti-HIV
drugs including Amdoxovir® (AMDX, DAPD) from Emory University
and the University of Georgia Research Foundation. In advanced
Phase II clinical studies, DAPD is effective at lowering HIV load,
even in individuals with resistant virus strains. DAPD may also be
effective for the treatment of hepatitis B virus (HBV).

In addition to its own pipeline, RFS Pharma is actively seeking promising new drugs for in-licensing. RFS Pharma has had considerable success in taking compounds from early stage to the end of Phase 2 clinical trials.
