Dr. Luz Pascual, Vice President of Medical Affairs

Luz Pascual, M.D., M.P.H., M.A., is the VIce President of Medical Affairs for RFS Pharma, leading the company's clinical drug development programs. Dr. Pascual previously served as the Associate Director of Clinical Sciences at KV Pharmaceutical Company, where she worked on product evaluation and concept development and served as the clinical lead for several products. As a clinical leader, she was responsible for the design of clinical development plans and served as the clinical resource person for ongoing multinational and multi-center clinical trials. In addition, she provided ancillary support for the design and strategy of preclinical studies and served as the clinical support for marketed products. Prior to joining KV Pharmaceutical Company, Dr. Pascual worked as the Principal Clinical Scientist at Biovail Technologies, Ltd., where she served as the company's safety officer for marketed and investigational drugs and was responsible for handling medical/clinical issues related to product development. During her tenure at Biovail, she was instrumental in the filing of thirteen full or supplemental new drug applications to U.S. FDA and/or Canada Therapeutic Products Directorate. Dr. Pascual holds an M.D. degree from the University of the East in the Philippines and a medical licensure in the Philippines. She has received competitive scholarship awards to earn an M.P.H. from Hebrew University in Israel, as well as an M.A. in Demography from The Australian National University.
